Leo Rusterholz advises clients in all sectors and industries in connection with domestic and international transactions and (cross-border) projects, with a particular focus on data protection, insurance contracts, insurance supervision, technology, media and telecommunications as well as corporate and regulatory law. He is regularly involved in data privacy, compliance and cyber security matters, insurance activities subject to authorization, data breach investigations and technology and outsourcing (ITO & BPO) transactions and also has significant experience in the areas of transitional services, licensing, distribution and e-commerce matters. Leo Rusterholz is recognized as a Rising Star in the field of Data Privacy and Data Protection in the Legal 500 EMEA 2024 Rankings. He regularly publishes in his fields of practice and worked for a leading US law firm in its New York, San Francisco and Palo Alto offices in the area of technology transactions. Within the Military Judiciary, Leo Rusterholz also leads investigations into criminal matters as an investigative judge.

valfor is pleased to announce the addition of six new partners effective 1 January 2025.

The Lausanne-based law firm Mercuris Avocats, led by partners Olivier Cherpillod, Jean-Michel Clerc, Martine Loertscher, and Maxime Rocafort, will join valfor. Their team, specialising in commercial law, tax, and dispute resolution, will integrate valfor’s Pully/Lausanne office.
