Attorney-at-Law, Dr. Iur.
Mathieu Granges specialises in litigation and arbitration. He has in particular acted in over forty commercial and investment arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and institutional (including under the Swiss Rules, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and ICSID). These matters have involved a range of procedural and substantive laws. His experience spans sectors including sale and purchase agreements and Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts. He has also represented private entities and States in setting-aside proceedings before the Swiss Federal Tribunal, including in intra-EU investment treaty cases.
He appears regularly before State courts in commercial matters and maintains a broad practice encompassing commercial contracts, employment law and real estate. In the field of insolvency, he advises and represents clients in asset-freezing measures, composition proceedings and bankruptcies.
He also has significant expertise in the recognition and enforcement of court judgments, arbitral awards and foreign insolvency orders.
