Thomas Steinmann

Dr. Thomas Steinmann is a partner at the law firm valfor, where he has been practicing since 1995 after joining the team as an associate in 1987. From 1990 to 1991, he expanded his experience by working as an associate at the prestigious law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York.

Dr. Steinmann holds two master's degrees in law and political science, obtained in 1983, as well as a doctorate in law from the University of Lausanne (1991). Since 1995, he has also been a professor at the School of Business Administration of the University of Lausanne (HEC), where he teaches the legal and economic aspects of international contracts.

As the author of an 800-page reference book on commercial agency contracts in Europe, Dr. Steinmann is recognized for his expertise in commercial contracts (distribution, agency), licenses, joint ventures, company sales, investment and shareholder agreements, as well as employment contracts and agreements related to the digital economy.

During his 30-year career as a legal advisor, he has assisted numerous companies, entrepreneurs, and investors in developing their international activities. In addition to advising on hundreds of projects, he has also been involved as an entrepreneur or co-founder in a dozen projects.

Dr. Steinmann offers comprehensive expertise covering all legal aspects of his areas of specialization, including corporate law, labor law, as well as administrative and tax law.
