Bills on tenancy law rejected: Status quo in Swiss tenancy law

The Swiss electorate rejected the two revisions to tenancy law on November 24, 2024. This means that nothing will change for the time being with regard to the requirements for owner-occupancy and the regulations on subletting.
Bruno Hunziker, Andreas Suter and Marco Ritter have looked at the results of this vote and explained the status quo. However, the discussion is not over - new drafts are already in the starting blocks.
