Stadler Rail and SBB Cargo sign a Frame Agreement for the supply of 129 Bo'Bo' multisystem locomotives

Stadler Rail introduces the new interoperable and multisystem Bo'Bo' locomotives for continental Europe with the first contract for 36 units with SBB Cargo. The agreement includes an option for 93 additional locomotives. The Swiss freight operator SBB Cargo awards Stadler Rail the tender launched in early 2024 for the supply of electric multisystem locomotives. SBB Cargo will replace its in-age-coming locomotives.
